The SHEWC'2008 - Safety, Health and Environmental World Congress will happen in Rio de Janeiro on July 20 to 23, 2008. Once again, the Congress will congregate scientists and researchers for a wide discussion on the researches and the most recent developments in the safety, environment and health. No doubt, that it is of fundamental importance for the improvement of life quality for the contemporary society viewing the future of coming generations. SHEWC'2008 will bring to Rio de Janeiro everything that is being accomplished in these areas, in the world. More than ever the science has showed to be a powerful tool for the acquisition of ways to solve the problems that such necessary development for the welfare of humanity as a whole can bring. Inserted in this world scenery at the beginning of century SHEWC'2008 comes to promote not only a deep reflection about safety, environment and health but also how to bring new ideas for the increment of the professionals' formation for the future. The ideas, opinions and these professionals' contributions will be presented in Lectures with international specialists in their areas of performance, Plenary Sessions, Presentations of works and Workshops. There will be as in all of the previous editions an opening session with the promoters' of the event participation and several authorities. At the end, in a closing session, the main results of the event will be presented.
